Poets Of The Park

When: 6pm 3rd Tuesday of each month

Where: St Margaret’s Church Hall, Rainbow Street, Sandgate

Contact: Mick – 0421 514 555

Every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6 pm till 9 pm Meals are usually organised there. POTP invite all sorts of poetry and we welcome readers as well as those who can perform from memory. The group have a few musicians who do poetry as well so you get the chance to enjoy some music as well as the great poetry.

The Covid virus means we meet “virtually” on line using ZOOM. This is usually very easy. We often have a guest poet/entertainer of note for the ZOOM online meetings which makes things just a bit more interesting. Contact us and when we send the reply email you simply click (left click with your mouse) on the address sent and follow a couple of instructions as they come up. Be patient, some steps take a while. Contact us by phone for help setting it up if needed.

After Covid is sorted we meet at St Margaret’s Hall beside the Sandgate State School on the slip road beside Rainbow Street in central Sandgate. Follow the signs and receive a warm welcome. We welcome online attendance at the moment and welcome you face to face when the Covid safe attendance is sorted. Get in touch so that we may put you on the emailing list.

Meals are arranged at the meetings, sometimes it’s Pizza, sometimes we buy prepared meals. Feel free to bring your own, we have heating facilities there. Attendance is $5 , meals are a bit extra, usually $5 – $10 depending on what they are. We are a not for profit group.
